YMCA offering Red Cross lifeguard class

Get an American Red Cross lifeguarding certification at the YMCA!  It is recognized nationwide so you can work anywhere in the United States, including the YMCA of Van Wert County and Camp Clay Aqua Park during the summer.

Register today for American Red Cross Lifeguard Training at the YMCA.  Learn lifesaving skills to help keep people safe in, on, and around the water. Call the YMCA February 1-28 at 419.238.0443. Classes will be held on Sundays at 1 p.m., beginning March 12.

Participants must pass a swim test and be 15 years of age by May 1 to participate in this certification.  The fee for certification is $250 per person, with lifeguard grants available.
