Stanley P. Mueller

Stanley P. Mueller, 69, of Landeck, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016, at his residence.

He was born June 5, 1947, on his parents’ farm in Landeck, the son of Melville and Viola (Gengler) Mueller, who both preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Shirley Leffers on October 5, 1968, and she survives in Landeck.

Survivors include three sons, Randy (Lisa) Mueller of Van Wert, Ross (Kristy) Mueller of Venedocia, and Ryne (Corie) Mueller of Middle Point; two daughters, Kristy (Craig) Ringwald of Middle Point and Trisha (Steve) Jones of Convoy; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce (Larry) Keipper of Delphos.

A son, Nicholas Mueller; two brothers, Kenneth “Slick” and Leo Mueller; and a sister, Pat Vorst, also preceded him in death.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck, the Foresters Court 76, the Farm Bureau, Delphos Knights of Columbus, and was a 1966 graduate of Delphos St. John’s High School. He was a lifelong farmer, starting at the young age of 14, and he drove for D and D Ingredient Distributors, starting in 1988 and retiring in 2014.  Stan was also proprietor of Mueller Fur Company and an avid Van Wert County Fair supporter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 8,  at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck, with Father Goerge Mahas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.

Preferred memorials: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
