Knight v-ball team defeats Wayne Trace

CONVOY — It took four games, but the Crestview Knights varsity volleyball team got a non-conference win over the scrappy Wayne Trace Raiders in the Knights’ first home match of the season.

Game scores were 25-14, 25-17, 23-25, and 25-22.

Leading the way for the Lady Knights were the following:

Serving – Maci Baker, 20/20; Lexi Gregory, 15/15 with 2 aces; Abigail Bagley, 13/13

Hitting – Gregory, 16 kills; Bagley, 6 kills; Ally McCoy and Ashley Dealey, 5 kills each

Setting – Bagley, 28 assists

Digs – Katie McClure, 13 digs; Lyvia Black, 11 digs

Blocks – McCoy was the block leader

Crestview is now 3-1 overall and will be back in action Monday, hosting the Parkway Panthers.

The Knight junior varsity team, which lost to Wayne Trace in two games, 21-25 and 14-25, is now 2-2 overall.
