If you haven’t had a chance to tour the Badlands and Brownies Exhibit, come soon, as it will close at the end of next week. This is the compelling work of two national and international photographers, Stephen Takacs of Columbus and Mark Lanning Jr. of Sacramento, Calif. Takacs has created a life-size fully functional Brownie camera. Lanning toured and photographed the Badlands and Pine Ridge Reserveration. This exhibit will be displayed until Sept. 16.

The deadline to enter your photographs in the 39th Annual Photography Exhibit is Sept. 14. Contact the art center for an entry form. Youth, adults, professionals and amateurs are encouraged to submit their photographs. The opening reception will be held on Oct. 2 from 1–5 p.m. This exhibit will be on display until Oct. 23.

Ceramic work by Wassenberg Art Center instructor Maria Coward. Spaces in the upcoming pottery class are still available.  The class will begin on Sept. 7 at 6 p.m.; contact the art center for complete information.  (Photo submitted.)
