Cougar golfers down Kenton for WBL win

The Van Wert Cougar golf team defeated Kenton 177 to 190.

Jared Hernandez was the match medalist with a 40, while runner-up medalist honors went to Austin Bissonette, who carded back-to-back birdies. He shared runner-up honors with Zach Lyvers, who also shot a very solid round.

Colton Deschner rounded out the scoring with a 47.

The Cougars, who move to 2-1 in the Western Buckeye League, return to action Monday at Willow Bend Country Club, as they take on the Roughriders of St. Marys.
