Ivadore (Voltz) Myers

Ivadore (Voltz) Myers, 99, of Mount Gilead and formerly of Ohio City, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016, at the Morrow Manor Nursing Home in Chesterville.

She was born June 21, 1917, in Van Wert County, the daughter of Rudolph Howard and Harriet Ethel (Hey) Voltz, who both preceded her in death. On January 30, 1948, she married Robert Clarence Myers, who died May 16, 2007.

Survivors include a son, Gary Lynn (Linda) Myers of Mount Gilead; one daughter, Robin Jane Myers of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Rose Marie McClure of rural Van Wert; a granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.

A son, Gregory H. Myers; two brothers, Robert Voltz and Billy Voltz; and two sisters, E. Patricia Schaadt and Virginia Ernestine Meyette, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at St. Paul’s Reformed Church in America in rural Van Wert County, with Pastor Chad Strabbing officiating. Burial will be in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

There will be no visitation.
