We are still glowing from a successful Town Creek Live and we loved seeing all the happy faces of people attending. Sincere thanks to all of the volunteers, sponsors, our hardworking staff, our partner Main Street Van Wert, the Recking Crew and most of all to you, our guests who make events successful.

In the Duck Derpy, the winning duck was adopted by John Lianez of South Bend, Ind.   Second place went to Kevin Taylor of Van Wert and third place went to Michelle Gamble of Van Wert. This year ducks had to be encouraged around some sticking points because of the low water but completed the race in just over an hour. We are already exploring new ideas for Town Creek Live 2017!

Winners of the “Get in the Swing" art competition at the Wassenberg Art Center during Town Creek Live was The Kopack Kids of Van Wert with their Ducky Warhol painted swing. They won $200 and will have their swing seasonally installed on the Wassenberg Art Center Grounds. (Photo submitted.)
