ODOT lists week’s construction projects

LIMA – The Ohio Department of Transportation’s District 1 has announced area highway projects for this coming week. Those include the following:

Van Wert County

  • U.S. 30 eastbound from the Indiana state line to Van Wert will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for sealing of pavement cracks. The ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage is performing the work.
  • ODOT Logo (.jpg)Ohio 81 west of Ohio 118 will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for sealing of pavement cracks. The ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage is performing the work.
  • U.S. 127 (Washington Street), between Fox Road and Ervin Road in the city of Van Wert, was closed April 11 for reconstruction and widening of the road. Access to local businesses is maintained. Traffic is detoured onto Ohio 81, Ohio 118, Ervin Road/Van Wert-Decatur Road, U.S. 224, and U.S. 30 back to U.S. 127. The closure will remain in place until fall. Helms & Sons Excavating of Findlay is performing the work.

Paulding County 

  • Sealing of pavement cracks will be performed at the following locations and will reduce traffic to one lane through the work zone: U.S. 127 north of Paulding to the Defiance County line; and Ohio 66, from the Putnam County line to the Defiance County line. The ODOT Paulding County maintenance garage is performing the work.
  • Ohio 49 north of the village of Payne, between Road 94 and Road 96, closed March 21 for 60 days for a bridge replacement project. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 500 and Ohio 111 back to Ohio 49. Vernon Nagel of Napoleon is performing the work.

Putnam County

  • Ohio 65 north of Ottawa is now open following a culvert replacement.
  • Pavement repair will take place on the following routes at various locations with traffic maintained through the work zone: Ohio 108, Ohio 694, and Ohio 696. The ODOT Putnam County maintenance garage is performing the work.
