Master Gardeners plant sale coming soon

The annual Ohio State University Extension-Van Wert County Master Gardener Volunteer Plant Sale will be held this Saturday, April 30, from 8 a.m. to noon or until the plants are sold out. The plant sale will be held in the Junior Fair Building on the fairgrounds.

The proceeds from the sale will benefit the OSU Extension Van Wert County Master Gardener volunteers’ projects, such as the Garden of the Senses, Smiley Park Children’s Garden, and community educational activities.

The plant sale will feature potted herbs, both culinary and aromatic, plus a variety of hardy chrysanthemums. Gardening items will also be available.

Stop by the Junior Fair Building this Saturday morning to purchase herbs or mums to beautify those outdoor living spaces or as a gift for that special gardener in the family.
