Ag in the Classroom
On Thursday, March 24, the Lincolnview FFA Chapter hosted “Ag in the Classroom” day, sponsored by the Van Wert Farm Bureau. There were tractors and a combine, along with pigs, a calf, chickens, goats, and a horse to help teach second grade students about Ag safety. FFA members also taught students about food sources and Ohio agriculture. There were teaching demonstrations at each station, which made for a fun-filled educational day.
The Kindergarten students at Lincolnview Elementary had a visit from local author Deborah Ambroza. She discussed the writing process with them and even brought in a horseshoe crab shell for them to touch. The students were also given an autographed copy of her book which is published on www.readinga-z.com.
