Winter blast

Although it’s been a mild winter, overall, Old Man Winter showed that he wasn’t quite done on Thursday, as the area received approximately 3 inches of snow yesterday. Local photographer Mike Taylor took these photos of last night’s winter storm in downtown Van Wert. It won’t likely stick around long, though, as temperatures are supposed to increase, starting on Monday, with a high of 64 possible on Tuesday, with rain possible, according to Van Wert County Emergency Management Director Rick McCoy.
