Timothy D. West

Timothy D. West, 21, of Latty, died at 4:04 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at Paulding County Hospital in Paulding.

He was born January 11, 1995, in Van Wert, the son of Andy and Bonnie (James) West, who both survive in Latty. He married Elizabeth (Schneider) West, who also survives in Latty.

Other survivors include a son, Gabriel West, at home; one brother, Zach (Rebecca) West of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a sister, Melonie (fiance Larry Shaner) West of Van Wert; his father- and mother-in-law, Andy and Tara Schneider of Merrill, Wisconsin; a brother-in-law, Sam Schneider of Merrill; two sisters-in-law, Briana Schneider and Lexie Schneider, both of Merrill; his maternal grandmother, Gerrie James of Beaver, Utah; his paternal grandfather, James (Janet) West of Ohio City;and his grandparents-in-law, Barry and Blossom Litke of Merrill.

His maternal grandfather, Richard James; and paternal grandmother, Janice West, preceded him in death.

Tim was a 2013 graduate of Wayne Trace High School, where he wrestled and played football. He loved to make people laugh and to help out wherever needed. He loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephew, and spending time with Elizabeth’s uncle, Pastor Isaac Litke. Most importantly, though, Tim’s world revolved around his wife, Elizabeth, and their son, Gabriel.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 13, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Chuck Oliver officiating.

Calling hours are from 2-7 p.m. Friday, February 12, at the funeral home.
