Nellie M. Hoghe

Nellie M. Hoghe, 98, of Van Wert, died at 4:10 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born February 16, 1917, in Van Wert County, the daughter of Dennis and Macy (Balliet) Balyeat, who both preceded her in death. On February 3, 1979, she married Ivan N. Hoghe, who died August 26, 2008.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 11, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Hal Shafer officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Baptist Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert.
