Local group making Valentines for Vets

Buckeye Y Youth Inc. will host Valentines for Vets on Monday, February 8, at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, 111 N. Shannon St. in Van Wert. The event will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The public is invited to attend and show appreciation to veterans for all they have sacrificed for America. Buckeye Y Youth members will make Valentines to be sent to veterans in Van Wert nursing homes or hospitals.

The local color guard has been invited to attend and will lead “The Star-Spangled Banner” for the group. Refreshments will be served.
