Crummey earns insurance designation

Central Insurance Companies employee Patrick Crummey has been awarded the professional insurance designation Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.

This is a professional credential recognized throughout the risk management and insurance business. He has completed a rigorous eight-course program of academic, ethical, and experience requirements.

Crummey lives in Van Wert with his wife, Darcy, and children Meredith, Zach, and Lucas. He is a member of the United Way Board of Trustees and is an instructor for Junior Achievement

Crummey graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer information systems from Youngstown State University in 2004. Crummey began his career at Central on January 10, 2005, as a programmer before becoming a programmer-analyst in 2006, and senior programmer-analyst in 2011. In January of 2014, Crummey became a senior development analyst.

Crummey also holds the Associate in General Insurance (AINS).

The American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 1942 to establish a program of professional education and certification for those employed in the property and casualty insurance business.
