Forrest W. Gribler

Forrest W. “Grib” Gribler, 91, of Vann Wert, died at 8:53 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015, at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville.

He was born December 20, 1923, in Van Wert, the son of Forrest W. Gribler Sr. and Goldie Ethel (Siders) Gribler, who both preceded him in death. On October 13, 1956, he married Virginia E. “Ginger” (McGrew) Gribler, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include two children, David H. (Beth) Gribler of Powell and Sara E. (Roger) Grone of Delphos; a sister, Mary McCray of Spencerville; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A son, Leslie Mac Gribler; three brothers, Donald, Doyt, and Graydon Gribler; and a sister, Margaret Mack, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 29, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
