Date set for victims compensation forum

A community forum on crime victim compensation will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, corner of Washington and Sycamore streets in Van Wert. The forum’s aim is to help individuals learn how to access services and financial assistance from the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

Shawn Moser from the AG’s office will discuss eligibility criteria, the application process, and potential reimbursements. Also, attendees will learn about VINE, a program allowing victims to be notified about the status of an abuser who has been incarcerated.

This free event is geared not only for the general public, but also for local professionals, agency staff, and pastors.
