Anne M. Barnhart

Anne M. Barnhart, 79, of Van Wert, passed away at 2:07 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born May 28, 1936, in Hopedale, the daughter of Elmer and Doris Graham, both of who preceded her in death. On August 11, 1956, she married James M. Barnhart, who died February 27, 2009.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Gary) Sutton of Van Wert; a son, Jim (Lynette) Barnhart of Middle Point; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nedra and Donna; and a brother, Roger.

A son, Steve; three sisters, Margaret, Margie, and Virgina; and two brothers, Paul and Jerry, also preceded her in death.

Anne was a retired employee of the former North American Phillips plant in Van Wert. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 178, and Women of the Moose Chapter 1320, both in Van Wert. She was an avid bingo player.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from noon-3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
