2015-16 VWCT season begins tonight

VW Civic Theatre information

Volunteers have been hard at work all summer sprucing up and cleaning in preparation for the 2015-2016 season at Van Wert Civic Theatre, which starts today.

The season opener is a comedic roller coaster as local actors bring to life one of Michael Parker’s funniest farces. Never Kiss a Naughty Nanny features an all-star cast that is sure to bring on the belly laughs.

VW Civic Theatre logoMr. Broadbent, played by Stan Lippi, has created and built ‘”The House of the Future”. Problem is, it has remained unsold for four years — mostly due to the fact that most of his futuristic innovations fail to work properly. But, at last, he finds prospective buyers Fred and Gladys McNicoll (played by Steve Bricker and Mary Yackey). The couple is invited to spend the night in the home and that’s when things get crazy funny.

You see, Mr. Broadbent is determined to offload this White Elephant by any means possible.

Show dates are September 24, 25, 26, and 27 and October 1, 2, 3, and 4. Evening shows begin at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees start at 2 p.m.

For reserved seats, call the Box Office at 419.238.9689 between 2-6 p.m. daily.  All seats are $10. Walk-ins are always welcome, but plan to arrive early before the best seats are sold out.
