Margaret L. Keltner

Margaret L. Keltner, 96, of Van Wert, died at 1:08 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2015, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born January 31, 1919, in Van Wert County, the daughter of Ira and Mary Eleanor (Callahan) Faller, who both preceded her in death. On March 16, 1946, she married Gayle E. Keltner, who died June 25, 1997.

Survivors include eight children, Richard Keltner of Van Wert, Gary (Renee) Keltner of Phoenix, Arizona, Larry (Kathy) Keltner of Tucson, Arizona, Joyce (Don) Sonnanstine of Wadsworth, Debra Smith of Convoy, Janice (Douglas) Jones of Venedocia, Linda Keltner of Boston, Massachusetts, and Brenda Keltner of St. Marys; a sister, Becky Zirkle of Van Wert; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A brother, Wilbur “Tiny” Faller; one sister, Esther M. Placke; and two grandchildren, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 29, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Greg Wack officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 28, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Bethel United Methodist Church in rural Van Wert County or a charity of donor’s choice.
