The Lincolnview Lady Lancer volleyball team lost a close match in five games to Van Wert. Scores were 25-23, 22-25, 15-25, 25-22 and 9-15.

Leading servers for the Lancers were Carly Wendel (14/14 with an ace) and Kayla Schimmoeller (19/20). Leading hitters for Lincolnview were Alana Williams (13 kills), Katlyn Wendel (15/16 with five kills) and MaKenna Klausing (nine kills).

Ashton Bowersock, Morgan Miller and Lakin Brant had 20 assists for Lady Lancers.

Lincolnview will next host the Antwerp Lady Archers at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
