County DJFS begins Outerwear Program

The Van Wert County Department of Job and Family Services announces the 2015 Outerwear Program for income eligible families with dependent children.
Clothing items may include coats, boots, shoes, hats, gloves and scarves. There will be up to $100 voucher for each child that qualifies within the 130 percent PRC (Prevention, Retention & Contingency) program guidelines. Payment will be made directly to the merchant.
The program is set to begin now and will end September 30, subject to funding availability.
The benefit is for each child in the home that falls within the 130 percent FPL (Federal Poverty Level) PRC program guidelines (see table at right). A face-to-face interview is not necessary.
Applications may be picked up at the CDJFS Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Incomplete applications will be denied without consideration (all PRC programs are subject to availability of funding).
