County auditor begins state reappraisals

Van Wert County is beginning a three-year, state-mandated reappraisal of all properties. New values go into effect January 1, 2017, payable in 2018.

During the months of August through December of this year, there will be teams of photographers taking photos for use in the reappraisal process. These individuals will be working on behalf of the Van Wert County Auditor’s Office, but are employed by Appraisal Research Corporation.

Photographers will be identified with both Appraisal Research and county badges, as well as car signs.
