NPAC releases tickets for 3 more shows

Niswonger PAC information

The Niswonger is at it again, bringing a week filled with hit show releases. Together with Season Sponsors StateWide Ford Lincoln and Van Wert Federal Savings Bank, the Niswonger releases three events that will keep the Box Office hopping.

Tickets are now on sale for Broadway’s Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Van Wert Manor presents this vibrantly colorful saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors on Saturday, October 17, with show times at 2 and 7:30 p.m. The musical parable comes to life with Joseph as a boy blessed with prophetic dreams. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged.

Eventually, his brothers unknowingly find themselves groveling at the feet of the brother they betrayed but no longer recognize. After testing their integrity, Joseph reveals himself, leading to a heartfelt reconciliation of the sons of Israel. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock ‘n’ roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musicalize this Broadway, multi-award-winning Biblical story. Tickets range from $30-$60.

Supporting sponsors are Dr. and Mrs. Jerry Sell, Dark Horse Productions and Brewed Expressions. The Willow Bend “Dinner & A Show” prime rib buffet is an available feature with this Broadway event.

Also on sale are tickets for classic rocker Peter Frampton’s RAW Acoustic Tour. Westwood Behavioral Health Center Inc. presents Grammy Award winner Peter Frampton, who remains one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history on Saturday, October 24, at 7:30 p.m.

At 16, Frampton was lead singer and guitarist for British band the Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first super groups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. His session work includes collaborations with such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr, John Entwistle and many others. His fifth solo album, the electrifying Frampton Comes Alive!, is one of the top-selling live records of all time.

Following his summer co-headlining run with American rock legend Cheap Trick, Frampton is back on the road, this time performing an acoustic only set for the first time ever. Gordon Kennedy, Frampton’s longtime collaborator and co-producer of his Grammy Award-winning album Fingerprints, will join him on tour, as well as an added special guest, Frampton’s son, singer and guitarist Julian Frampton. Tickets range from $40-$60. Supporting Sponsors are Dark Horse Productions, the Decatur Daily Democrat, WKSD Classic Hits, WERT 1220 and WZRX 107.5. The Willow Bend “Dinner & A Show” prime rib buffet is an available feature with this popular concert.

Today at noon, tickets release for the magnificently entertaining Ethan Bortnick. Presented by Vancrest Health Care Centers, Bortnick is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as “The World’s Youngest Solo Musician to Headline His Own Concert Tour.” He has been featured on countless national television shows, including multiple appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, “Good Morning America” and “Oprah”. His performance on Sunday, November 1, at 3 p.m., is part of the Community Concert Series, which is still available as a cost saving package that includes five concerts for as low as $60. Individual event tickets to see Bortnick range from $15-$35.

Bortnick’s “The Power of Music” concerts are filled with surprises and talent that dazzle audiences and fill concert-goers with a sense of wonder and awe. Hear songs from The Beatles to Elton John to Broadway, from Chopin to Neil Diamond, from Michael Jackson to Motown to rock ‘n roll, and everything in between. Bortnick will also perform several of his own songs, including some from the recently released movie Anything is Possible, in which he starred, co-scored and wrote 10 songs. He will also involve the audience in the show, compose music on the spot, put together songs instantly using audience stories/ideas and answer questions during a Q&A segment at each concert.

Supporting Sponsors are Taylor Auto Sales Inc., State Farm/Tisha Fast agent, Slusher’s Jewelry of Van Wert, Central Insurance Companies and Van Wert County Hospital. The Willow Bend Community Concert “Dinner & A Show” package is featured for this event.
