YMCA plans SilverSneakers luncheon

The YMCA of Van Wert County has announced a SilverSneakers luncheon to be held this Thursday, July 30, at 11:15 a.m. in the Senior Fitness Center, where all attendees can enter  handicap accessible Door 9.

The luncheon will be catered by Van Wert Manor and the luncheon’s featured speaker will be Van Wert County Sheriff Tom Riggenbach, who will speak about Van Wert’s heroin problem, as well as provide a Humane Society update and accept and dispose of unneeded medications and safety through the aging process.

All SilverSneakers members and those interested in learning more about the program are welcome to come for this free event. Bring a friend to the luncheon and YMCA staff will check their eligibility for a SilverSneakers membership.
