Helen R. Ferrell

Helen R. Ferrell, 94, of Van Wert, died at 5:40 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2015, at Van Wert Manor.

She was born September 20, 1920, in Continental, the daughter of William and Pearl (Hoy) Agnes, who both preceded her in death. She married Gordon O. Ferrell, who died in 1966.

Survivors include six children, Michael Ferrell of Alexandria, New Hampshire, Vaughn Ferrell of Rockledge, Florida, Alan (Joan) Ferrell of Grand Rapids (Ohio), Deb (Jim) Dibert of Van Wert, Bob (Karen) Ferrell of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Steve Ferrell of Proctor, West Virginia; a sister, Marcile Feehan of Findlay; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A son, Jim Ferrell; four brothers; and a sister, Nonna June Ringenberg, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Ferrell had worked in the Van Wert City Schools cafeteria and at Derry Drugs in Van Wert.

Private family funeral services will be conducted. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

There will be no calling hours.

Preferred memorials: Alzheimer’s Association, Salvation Army or Make A Wish Foundation.
