VWCS students donate

Students collect coins for Salvation Army 5-2015

The Van Wert Salvation Army Capital Campaign moved closer to its goal with the generous support of county students, as April became Salvation Army Month in the public schools. Coins were collected in quart jars.  When the counting was completed, the public schools donated a total of $6,006. The Salvation Army genuinely appreciates the Van Wert City Schools and their donation of $2,640 (high school $1,457, middle school $229, and elementary $954). Shown are representatives of Van Wert Elementary School, Van Wert Middle School and Van Wert High School, along with some of the donations, and Rita Hurless, Salvation Army board member.
