Monica A. Sloan

Monica A. Sloan, 82, of Delphos, died Thursday, April 30, 2015, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born March 14, 1933, in Delphos, the daughter of John and Helen (Ardner) Peter, who both preceded her in death. On February 5, 1954, she married Robert Sloan, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include three sons, James Sloan, Robert M. (Julie) Sloan and Nick (Lisa) Sloan, all of Delphos; a daughter, Helen (Bill) Hurley of Delphos; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Melvin Fiedler; two sisters, Helen Beckner and Norma Brooks; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Sloan, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 4, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with Father Dennis Walsh officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, May 3, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
