Edith M. Campton

Edith M. Campton was born February 1, 1917, in Van Wert, the daughter of LeRoy and Arthelia (McClain) McGowen, who both preceded her in death. On November 23, 1938, she married Howard Campton, who also preceded her in death. On August 2, 1990, she married Marvin Meier.

Survivors include a daughter, Jean Ann (Lorne) Gale of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren; three great-grandsons; eight stepgrandchildren; 21 stepgreat-grandchildren; and 19 stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Nine brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 24, at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with the Rev. Scott Campbell officiating.

There will be no calling hours.

Preferred memorials: American Heart Association.
