Esther E. Spridgeon

Esther E. Spridgeon of Middle Point died Friday, April 24, 2015 at her residence.  She was born February 25, 1932 in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of Ethel (Mager) Byers and Paul Byers, who both preceded her in death.

She was married to Gerald E. “Tuffy” Spridgeon who passed on February 8, 2014.   2 brothers, Howard L. and Paul Jr. are also deceased.

Survivors include a brother, Donald Byers, Riverside, CA.  Her children Elsie (Joe) Thompson, Newark, OH; Gary “Harry” Spridgeon, Middle Point, OH; Jay Spridgeon, Middle Point, OH. Cindy (Mike) Alexander, Key Colony Beach, FL.

Grandchildren include Brad Thompson, Jody (Craig) King & Scott, Adam, & Nick Kayser.  There are 5 great-grandchildren.  A.J., Mac, Shannon, Sydney and Ezra.  Special friend, Deb Fox of South Carolina also survives.

Esther Retired from the Postal Service & was an LPN before working for the Postal Service.  She was a member of Delphos Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Red Hat Society, Middle Point Fire Dept. Ladies Aux., Hoaglin Jackson Breakfast Club; and was an Usher at the Embassy, Ft. Wayne, Indiana for 11 years.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM Monday April 27, 2015 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory.  Friends may call 2-6PM Sunday April 26, 2015 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.  Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery at Middle Point, Ohio.
