Edith M. Campton

Edith M. Campton died Sunday, March 29, 2015, in Denver, Colorado.

She was born February 1, 1917, in Van Wert, the daughter of LeRoy and Arthelia (McClain) McGowen, who both preceded her in death. On November 23, 1938, she married Howard Campton, who preceded her in death. On August 2, 1990, she married Marvin Meier, who survives.

Mrs. Campton graduated from Hoaglin-Jackson High School.

Other survivors include a daughter, Jean Ann (Lorne) Gale of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren, Reed (Michelle) Bradford of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Krista Bradford of Denver, Colorado; three great-grandsons, Taylor, Parker and Logan; her son-in-law, Lorne, also has four children who survive, Lori, Brad, Cory and Chad; and 10 grandchildren; while her husband, Marvin, also has four children, Larry, Douglas, Kimberly and Christopher, as well as 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Nine brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at a later date in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

There will be no calling hours.

Preferred memorials: The American Heart Association.
