CELINA – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer, Auglaize, and Van Wert Counties has moved to its new office location in Celina.

“The move from St. Marys to Celina will better accommodate our growing programs, enable the staff to continue to efficiently service clients, and increase our visibility to the community,” said Executive Director Abby Balster.

Since 2010, the number of clients served has grown by more than 25 percent.

The new location includes three individual offices, a waiting area, and space for an activities center. The activities center will be a place where Bigs (volunteers) and Littles (children) can spend quality time together doing arts and crafts, playing board games, doing homework, and more.

“Our new office space will allow us to better serve the participants in our programs and is centrally located in our servicing area,” said Balster. “We wanted to show the community that we are committed to serving them and we are here to stay.”

The organization is currently accepting donations to help with building improvements and renovations, including painting the office, putting on a new roof, new flooring, and the renovation of the Activities Center.
