Homecoming royalty, art award at L’view

Lincolnview High School held its Homecoming ceremony on Feb. 20.  The following seniors were candidates for Homecoming Royalty.

For Queen:

Taylor Williams is the daughter of Chris and Missy Williams. She will be attending Wright State University majoring in early childhood education.

Baylee Neate is the daughter of Brent and Deb Neate.  She will be attending The Ohio State University double majoring in real estate and urban analysis and marketing.

Julia Thatcher is the daughter of Kevin Thatcher and Joanne Thatcher. She will be attending Bluffton University next fall majoring in psychology and minoring in recreational management while continuing her sports career as a basketball player for Bluffton.

For King:

Tyler Brant is the son of Dan and Sabrina Brant.  Tyler’s future plans are as yet undecided.

Bayley Tow is the son of Brent and Kris Tow. He will be attending Kent State and continuing his sports career by running on the cross country and track teams.

Tyler Wannemacher, is the son of Todd and Rachel Wannemacher. He will be attending Bowling Green State University majoring in mechanical engineering.

Julia Thatcher was crowned Queen and Bayley Tow was crowned King between the JV and Varsity basketball games.

Lincolnview sophomore Ryanne Ducheney is to be congratulated for winning First Place in this year’s Youth Art Month (YAM) Flag Contest for grades 9-12 throughout all of Ohio. To promote YAM, the Council for Art Education coordinates YAM activities at the national level.  The primary event is the State Flag Program.  Each state coordinates a flag design contest, with the winning design made into a flag for display in the Youth Art Month Museum at the National Art Education Association Convention in March.  The 2014/2015 national theme is “Art Builds Bridges.”
