Faurote named Central vice president

The Central Insurance Companies has announced the promotion of Ben Faurote, J.D., to vice president of human resources & facilities, effective March 13.

As vice president of human resources, Faurote holds the overall accountability for the Human Resources, Training and Education, and Facilities departments. This includes responsibilities of employment, employee benefits, the performance appraisal program, salary administration program, company policies, training and development, and facilities, including maintenance, grounds, custodial and leases for the regional offices.

Faurote also chairs the Pension and Savings and Profit Participation (SPP) Advisory and Administrative Committees, and is a member of the Management and Risk Management Committees for the company.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Ohio Northern University School of Law, Faurote has been employed by Central for five years as a Claims Attorney and most recently as Assistant Vice President of Human Resources.

Faurote is president of the North Adams (Indiana) Community School Board, an advisory member of the City of Decatur’s Redevelopment Commission, a member of the Decatur’s Long-Term Advisory Committee, and a member of the Connect to Careers Inc. Board of Directors.

He and his wife, Catherine, have three children.
