Tom was a loving father to six children and grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

During his life, he was a retail manager for numerous stores, most recently for Fisher’s Big Wheel in Van Wert, and then in Avon Lake. He was veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, a member of the Elks and Pulaski Club of Pennsylvania and an avid card player at the Van Wert County Senior Center.

He was preceded in death by his “sweetheart,” Geri Moynihan, who he met and courted in Oil City, Pennsylvania.

Survivors include three children, Drew Moynihan of Louisiana, Michael (Peggy) Moynihan of Wapakoneta and Kelly (Thomas) Andersen of Convoy.

Three children, Kathleen Moynihan (Wilmington), James Moynihan (Van Wert) and Sean Moynihan (San Antonio, Texas); his mother, Sophie Licau (Milwaukee, Wisconsin); his only brother, James (Milwaukee); and a grandson, Kyle Moynihan (Van Wert), also preceded him in death.

His laughter brought smiles to our faces, his generosity touched many. May he rest in peace.

Services will be held at a time to be determined by the family at St. Stephen’s Parish in Oil City, Pennsylvania, with burial in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Cranberry, Pennsylvania.
