Lincolnview Elementary first graders have been learning all about the ocean, exploring the different creatures and types of habitat that it holds. Mrs. Cox's class holds an annual "Save the Manatees" fundraiser where the students sell "Izzy pops" and "Izzy dots", appropriately named after their water frog, Izzy. Congratulations to the FFA Members who had applications in the FFA District Evaluation last Friday, February 8th. Macey Ashbaugh’s State FFA Degree, recent graduate Jacob Staley’s American FFA Degree and Bryce Campbell’s Poultry Proficiency all advance to the State Evaluation later this month.
Also congratulations to Troy Patterson for placing third and receiving a Gold Rating on his Secretary’s book, Bryce Campbell for placing fourth and receiving a Gold Rating on his Treasurer’s Book, and Wyatt Schmersal for placing fifth and receiving a Silver Rating on his Report’s Scrapbook.
The Lincolnview Beta Club helped last Saturday with the Special Olympics Basketball Skills Competition held at the Lincolnview Elementary. Pictured are members of the Beta Club and members of the Ohio Northern University Football team who also came to help with the Special Olympics.
