We cannot wait to host Radoslav Lorković in concert on Jan. 24, 2015 at 7 p.m. Radoslav has played at festivals, small venues and places as notable as the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall. His enigmatic blues style will warm any cold January heart. Best thing about this? It’s free. Thank Mr. Charles Wassenberg. To this day our exhibits and opening receptions are free admission as our benefactor wished and this makes us happy to share the musical talents of musicians too! Join us, for great food, spirits and fun. Check out his music and full bio at radoslavlorkovic.com

This concert coincides with the opening of the American Watercolor Exhibition and is comprised of a collection of watercolors from the best watercolorists around the world. International artists have competed in the 147th Annual American Watercolor Competition and many of these paintings will be on display here at the Wassenberg Art Center. The exhibit travels to only a handful of places in the country each year and the Wassenberg Art Center is honored to be one of those few.

ArtReach Classes have resumed and we have just a few more spaces in our Thursday class for slightly older artists around the ages of 12-15. Give us a call to explore this option.

Our Vine & Palette sessions will reconvene on Thursday, Jan. 8 from 6:30–9 p.m. Vine & Palettes fill up quickly. The event includes all painting materials and first glass of wine. Participants may bring a snack to share if they wish. We even provide aprons, because like to get messy! The cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Did you know you can design and schedule private, parties for kids and corporate Vine & Palette events? Give us a call to find out more.

Watercolor Techniques class continues on Tuesday mornings starting at 10 a.m. This ongoing class is taught by Pat Rayman. Persons are encouraged to jump in anytime and the class is sold in monthly increments. $35 for members and $40 for non-members.  Note:  There will be no class on the last two Tuesdays of December.  Classes will resume in January.

For information on exhibits, classes and programs listed on there as well. The Wassenberg Art Center is located at 214 South Washington Street (former Van Wert Armory).
