Ruth Marie Crone

Ruth Marie Crone of Grover Hill went to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, December 11, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 26, 1925, in Paulding County, the daughter of Lee M. and Belva (Sherry) Ross Sr., who both preceded her in death. On November 12, 1942, she married George Crone, who also preceded her in death, on September 6, 1997.

She was a member of the former Church of Christ in Grover Hill, where she was a member of the Ladies’ Aid of the church and a youth Sunday school teacher. She attended First Christian Church of Christ in Paulding.

Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl (Maury) Wistner of Grover Hill, Vicki (Gary) McClure of Paulding and Tammy (Lee Byerly) Barkley of Ossian, Indiana; five grandchildren, Robb (Laurene) Wistner, Chad (Darci) Wistner, Jennifer (Brian) Aden, Julie (Shawn) Cook and Nathaniel (Kelsey) Barkley; and nine great-grandchildren, Nick, Koby, Keagan and Lance Wistner, Cady Cook, Clark Aden, Caia Cook, Maddox Barkley and Carter Cook.

A brother, Lee M. Ross Jr.; and three sisters, K. Marcile Jenkins, Doris Jean Long and a sister who died in infancy, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, December 15, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding. Burial will follow in Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, December 14, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Community Health Professionals-Hospice in Van Wert or a charity of donor’s choice.
