Marjorie Louise Campbell

Marjorie Louise Campbell, 91, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Crestview Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster.

She was born July 11, 1923, in Falls Township, Hocking County, the daughter of the late Clarence Lewis and Anna Viola (Hansel) Hartmann.

Marjorie was a homemaker and former owner and manager of Campbell Cove Camping. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, a member of St. Mary Ladies Auxiliary 115, Eighth Air Force Historical Society, DAR of Lancaster and the American Legion Auxiliary in Logan. She was also an American Red Cross volunteer, a volunteer for the Hocking Hills Tourism Association, a member of Hocking Grange, Busy Homemaker Extension Club, a 4-H advisor, TWIG member, a longtime Falls Township poll worker and an instructor for St. John Sunday School.

She is survived by four sons, William Lewis (Diana L.) Campbell of Logan, Joseph Michael Campbell of Reynoldsburg, Anthony Bruce (Tammy) Campbell of Van Wert, and John Robert (Teena M.) Campbell of Pataskala; one daughter, Blanche Elizabeth “Beth” (Barry) Foster of Reynoldsburg; seven grandchildren, Michael William Campbell and Jeremy Todd Campbell, both of Logan, Alexander B. and Bryce N. Campbell, both of Van Wert, Kaylee Marie (Nick) Unger of Reynoldsburg, Sergeant (retired) Kyle M. (Emilie) Campbell of Yorktown, Virginia, and Eric A. Foster of Reynoldsburg; two great-grandchildren, Elijah Nicholas Unger and Annaliese Bay Campbell; a brother, Joseph M. (Sue) Hartman of Hudson, Florida; and one sister-in-law, Clyda Jean (Jack) Jacquith of Modesto, California.

Her husband, Joseph Nicholas Campbell (2011); one great-granddaughter, Kadance Y. Campbell; a brother, James R. Hartman; and one sister, Dorothy Kalklosch, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, October 13, at St. John Catholic Church, with Monsignor William A. Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Sunday, October 12, at Roberts Funeral Home in Logan, where a Christian Vigil Service will be held at 5 that evening.
