Donna L. Lehman

Donna L. Lehman, 86, of Defiance, and formerly of Van Wert, died at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Heartland of Waterville in Waterville.

She was born January 5, 1928, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Walter E. and Nellie E. (Lake) Poling. On October 5, 1947, she married Edwin J. Lehman, who preceded her in death on October 1, 1985.

Survivors include two children, James O. (Barbara) Lehman of Olmstead Falls, and Janice A. (Paul “Craig”) Furnas of Defiance; four grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Janet Poling Ray.

Three brothers, Darrel, Kenneth and Vernell Poling; and a sister-in-law, Helen Poling, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 20, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Bob Jenks officiating, assisted by the Rev. Clark Williman. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, October 19, at the funeral home.
