Robert F. Fowler

Robert F. Fowler of Van Wert died at 10:48 a.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born June 6, 1934, in Va Wert, the son of the late Forrest and Elizabeth (Milbourne) Fowler. In 1959, he married Julianne Fowler, who preceded him in death on October 9, 2012.

Survivors include four children, Patricia (Kenneth) Fast of Moundsville, West Virginia, Beth (John) Krochmal of Galloway, Catherine (Todd) Kette of Powell, and Jim (Adrienne) Fowler of Marietta, Georgia; a brother, Charles (Cathy) Fowler of Paulding; one sister, Helen Mankey of Decatur, Indiana; and nine grandchildren.

A son, Jeffrey Fowler; and one brother, Bill Fowler, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 20, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 19, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center or the Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy.
