VW CVB seeks event calendar information

Convention & Visitors Bureau information

Twice a year, the Van Wert Area Convention and Visitors Bureau prepares a calendar of events to distribute to local residents, as well as those requesting information about the Van Wert County community. This information is also used to update the CVB’s listing of festivals and events on its website: www.vsitvanwert.org .

Now is the time to put the Fall 2014 and Winter 2014-2015 calendar together. The CVB’s listings are designed to have information about area events of interest to the general public.  Area residents’ help is needed to make sure the information the CVB distributes is accurate and complete.

“We’d like to be sure we don’t miss any event,” said CVB Executive Director Larry Lee. “We will accept information from any group, organization, church, school, etc.”

The CVB calendar will include events scheduled between September 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015. Of special interest at this time of year will be holiday happenings.

To have an event listed, email the CVB at info@visitvanwert.org and include the name of the event, time, location, a short description, and the name of a contact person.  Deadline for submission is August 11.

“If you have any question about whether or not your events would qualify for inclusion, you can contact us at our email address or call us at 419.238.9378,” Lee noted. “The CVB reserves the right to exclude non-qualifying events and to edit event descriptions.”
