Pigs will fly again at 2014 VW Rib Fest

Once again pigs will be falling from the sky during the annual Van Wert Rib Fest on Saturday, August 9, at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. This fundraising event, sponsored by First Federal Savings & Loan, will benefit both the Convention and Visitors Bureau and United Way of Van Wert County.

The cost of a ticket is $10. Tickets can be purchased at First Federal Savings & Loan, the CVB, the United Way office, or from any United Way board member. The pig that falls closest to the pigpen, second closest to the pigpen, and farthest away from the pen will all win a cash prize.

A limited number of tickets will be sold. This has been a fun event in years past, as people have enjoyed watching the pigs fall from the sky and finding out who wins.

The Van Wert Rib Fest will be held August 8-9 at the fairgrounds.
