Mary E. Klopfenstein

Mary E. Klopfenstein, 85, of Scott, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at her residence.

She was born October 19, 1928, in Wells County, Indiana, the daughter of the late Jacob and Minnie (Baumgartner) Tonner. On December 16, 1950, she married Marvin W. Klopfenstein, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, Keith (JoAnne) Klopfenstein of Scott; one daughter, Karen (Lester) Manz of Paulding; two sisters, Marcella (Truman) Yergler and Doris (Dale) Feichter, both of Bluffton, Indiana; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A granddaughter, Jaymee Klopfenstein; two sisters, Cordelia Aeshliman and Lucille Reinhard; and two brothers, Curtis and Harry Tonner, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Latty Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will follow in Latty Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2:30-8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Latty Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Galilean Children’s Home in Liberty, Kentucky, or Gateway Woods Children’s Home in Leo, Indiana.
