Helen B. Oakley

Helen B. “Bonnie” Oakley, 94, of Van Wert, died at 5:04 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born February 4, 1920, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Ansel and Emma Louise (Courtney) Fawcett. On August 28, 1940, she married Ferman A. Oakley, who preceded her in death on July 31, 2010.

Survivors include one grandson.

A son, Michael Lee Oakley; and one brother also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
