Van Wert Lodge 1197, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, recently donated $125 to the Girls Scouts of Western Ohio.

The monies will be used by local Girl Scouts to help fund activities for summer resident camps and summer education outreach programs.  Van Wert Lodge’s donation will provide access to the Girl Scout program to girls in the Van Wert community unable to participate otherwise.

The Girl Scouts organization provides programs for girls ages kindergarten through high school seniors. Girl Scouting has always been at the forefront of developing leadership in girls; today, the Girl Scout Leadership Experience is considered the premier program for building essential skills that will serve girls and young women through any challenge they may face in life.
