Work@Health employer training offered

VW County Hospital information

The Work@Health employer training program is a free program designed to train U.S. employers of all sizes and types how to establish, expand and improve science- and practice-based health promotion strategies that will lead to specific, measureable means to reduce chronic disease rates in the workplace. This training will provide businesses with the tools and resources to launch a new employee health and wellness promotion program or to expand an existing program.

During the training, employers will learn about a model for designing and implementing a worksite health promotion program through assessment, planning/implementation and evaluation. Participants will learn about workplace health programs, policies and environmental support interventions. Each participant will receive a complete employer-training manual that includes eight modules based on the core elements of a workplace health promotion program. In addition to the manual, participants will receive a Work@Health thumb drive with all materials preloaded.

The professional training is presented by a Work@Health trainer.
