Charles R. Rollins Sr.

Charles R. Rollins Sr., 65, of Ohio City, died at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born May 31, 1948, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Virgil Elmer and Ruby Mae (Holland) Rollins.

Survivors include four children, Charles R. (Jenny) Rollins Jr. and Jeremy Rollins, both of Van Wert, David Rollins of Ohio City and Joel J. Rollins of Toledo; four brothers, John K. (Ethel) Rollins of Van Wert, Jack L. (Beth) Rollins of Summerton, S.C., Ronald A. Rollins of Colorado and Donald B. (Billie) Rollins of North Carolina; six grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Pamela Dellinger of Van Wert.

A son, Michael James Rollins (February 23, 2003) and a granddaughter, Dalila Rose Rollins, also preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Randy Bevington officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
