It is time to order carnations to be delivered to that special someone! Carnations are available in a variety of colors.  Each color has a special meaning.  They are $1.50 each and are being sold by the sophomore class. Orders will be taken starting Monday, Feb. 3. If you have a student and would like an order form, they can be picked up in the school offices.  Order forms will also be sent home with elementary students.  A separate order form needs to be filled out for each student receiving flowers.  Junior high and high school students may order before school or during lunch.  The flowers will also be sold at the homecoming basketball game. When ordering for the high school and junior high students, you will need to provide the sixth period class of the person receiving the flowers.  For elementary students, you will need to provide the name of their homeroom teacher.  You will also be able to write a special message. The last day to order is Friday, Feb. 7. Flowers will be delivered at the end of the school day on Thursday, Feb.  13.

On Feb. 1 four soloists and one ensemble from the Lincolnview band department traveled to St. Mary’s Memorial High School to participate in District 3’s solo and ensemble event. Soloists Sarah Riley, tenor saxophone, and Michael Garay, baritone saxophone, each received superior ratings while soloists Bryce Campbell, bassoon, and Braxton Matthews, bass clarinet, each received excellent ratings. The woodwind trio, made up of Samantha Klausing, Gracie Lammers and Taite McKinney, received an excellent rating.
