Van Wert Police

February 1, 12:40 a.m. — Arnold DeLeon, 44, of Convoy was cited for operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI and driving while under a license suspension as a result of a traffic stop in the 1200 block of West Main Street.

February 1, 11:26 p.m. — Cody L. Carmean, 18, of Rockford, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as a result of traffic stop near the intersection of Main and Washington streets.

February 2, 7:17 p.m. — Chad M. Caldwell, 36, of 533 S. Franklin St., was arrested on a warrant issued on behalf of the Van Wert County Adult Probation Department.

January 31, 1:30 a.m. — Larry T. McCleese, 35, of 515 Monroe St., was charged with theft after allegedly failing to pay for $20 worth of gasoline at Brookside Convenience Store, 1301 W. Main St.

February 2, 8:55 a.m. — Shylyn N. Shepherd, 16, of 412 E. Main St., was charged with underage consumption while at her residence.

January 30, 10:19 p.m. — Joshua R. Barnhart, 23, and Jarret A. Upchurch, 23, both of 937 Southway Drive, were charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as a result of an incident at their residence.

January 27, 3:18 p.m. — Marteasha M. Adkins, 25, of Defiance, was charged with theft in connection with an alleged shoplifting incident at the local Walmart store.
